Cases We Handle

Customs, Import & Export

One country’s business standards may not always translate to the required practices in the United States. The U.S. government regulates the import and export of goods and services crossing all of the country’s borders through regulatory provisions enforced by U.S. Customs and Border Protection. By acting as gatekeepers, the agency enforces not only its own import and export regulations, but also those of other U.S. federal agencies, such as the Food and Drug Administration, Environmental Protection Agency, and Federal Trade Commission.

Our professionals have significant experience helping foreign and domestic companies comply with U.S. Customs and other federal agency regulations concerning the importation and exportation of products into the U.S.

We take a proactive role with our clients, helping them ensure their products are in full compliance prior to entry. For those companies that are already in detention, we work with appropriate agencies and submit appropriate testing or documentation to remove the violation that resulted in the detention.

Business Law

Business law is the legal framework of rules and regulations that govern commercial relationships and impact how companies are conducted and managed. We advise businesses, ranging from startups to large corporations, on international, federal, state, and local business law. We understand the ways these rules and regulations impact how business is conducted and how companies should be managed. We help our clients integrate foreign and domestic regulations into their global business strategy. We help foreign clients understand and navigate the U.S. corporate compliance landscape by “domesticating” U.S. regulations and by weighing how these requirements affect long-term decisions and day-to-day operations.

We counsel U.S. clients and advise them on domestic and foreign compliance requirements affecting how their business operations.

We have prior experience advising companies in and/or with regard to:

*Corporate LLC formation and maintenance

*Commercial negotiations

*Business planning

*Distribution agreements

*Business contracts

*Partnership agreements

*Business leases
